CGC, STAR, TRICKS Evaluator

I grew up with a Chihuahua.  My breed of choice for the past 40 years has been the German Shepherd. But I appreciate and love them all, big or small, pure bred, or mixed breed.

I have placed titles on my dogs in obedience, rally, tracking, K9 Nosework®️, CGC, and therapy.  I have taught all of these venues for 35 plus years.  My special interest has been Puppy training and K9 Nosework®️.

I have taken written exams for all of my teaching certifications.  I am required to do yearly continuing education to maintain my credentials and be knowledgeable on current training techniques.

I grew up with cats.  My first dog was a mix breed, but my breeds since have included German Shepherds, Australian Shepherds, and several mixed breeds.

I have been teaching dog obedience for about 25 years with a special interest in basic home manners, tricks and games.  I have also been active in Australian Shepherd rescue evaluating dog’s temperament and interviewing prospective homes for the rescued dogs.

I have placed obedience, rally, herding, agility, and K9 Nosework®️titles on my own dogs.

I have taken a written exam for my teaching certification. I am required to do yearly continuing education to maintain my credential and be knowledgeable on current training techniques.

Alliance of Therapy Dogs Tester Observer

I have had dogs my whole life, but my love for the herding group began at the age of

of 9 with my first Collie, Lassie.  I have had various breeds over the years, but I am partial to the Collies and Sheltland Sheepdogs.  However, they all steal my heart!

As a child I worked with my dogs doing tricks and basic obedience.  As an adult I have been able to do more advanced training and competition sports, having over 20 years of experience.  I have placed titles on my dogs in obedience, rally, agility, tricks, CGC and therapy.  My heart is in the therapy work.  We visit various facilities and events trying to put a smile on as many faces as possible.
